Oftentimes men will find that caffeine, alcohol or even spicy and sour foods can contribute to their incontinence. Other common causes can also include artificial sweeteners and even chocolate.

Limit Your Fluid Intake
Probably the most obvious way to prevent accidents is to limit the amount that you drink. In this case, it is still important that you get enough fluids, but the goal is to space them out over a long enough period of time that you aren’t forced to run off to the bathroom every few minutes. If you struggle with nighttime incontinence, it’s especially important to avoid drinking too much immediately before bed.
This trick is useful in preventing that annoying dribble men sometimes experience soon after urinating. Double-voiding essentially involves fully emptying your bladder, and then waiting and trying to go again after a minute or so just to make sure your bladder truly is empty.
